Aki Sogabe Cards

The public artwork project, “Japanese-American Farmer at the Pike Place Market,” was dedicated in 1999 on the Day of Remembrance, February 19th. This art piece recognized the significant efforts of the Japanese American farmers in the development of the market prior to World War II. The mural was commissioned by the Seattle JACL and funded partially with a grant from the Civil Liberties Public Education Fund. In addition, a consortium of organizations and individuals, Pike Place Market Public Development Authority, Wing Luke Asian Museum, and the White River, Lake Washington and Puyallup JACL chapters also contributed to the mural.
The Seattle Chapter has printed commemorative reproductions of the mural for a chapter fundraising drive. The sets include five note-card sized, full color prints of the 35-foot long ceramic mural created by Aki Sogabe. Envelopes are included.
The set costs $10, plus $2.50 for shipping and handling. These card sets will make beautiful gifts as they are timeless and great for celebrating any occasions. We’re certain that you and your friends and family will enjoy these cards!
We also offer framed sets for $55. Perfect for hanging in any home or office, a classy, black frame wraps around the cards.
